Fine Focus Workshops offers small classes for beginning and more advanced photographers in Vermont and New Hampshire. Head instructors Richard Ritter, formerly of Zone VI Studios and designer and builder of the Zone VI Camera, and Bruce Barlow, also formerly of Zone VI and author of recent articles in View Camera magazine, follow their own passions in creating intensive three-day learning experiences to help you improve your black and white photography.

Richard and Bruce believe in making the technical parts of photography - equipment handling, exposure, and darkroom work - as mechanical and habitual as possible to free the mind for creative expression. They also have continued to use Fred Picker's foolproof application of Zone System ideas, and they share a love for the mystical beauty of winter snow and ice. Consequently, they currently run three workshop topics: Getting the Most Out of Large Format, The Zone System Intensive, and Snow and Ice.
